Good afternoon,

We had a wonderful first week together at Perry Elementary School. Our phase-in schedule was a success as we welcomed all of our Kindergarten through 4th Grade Students and our PreK Students last names A-L to our campus. It was a pleasure to see so many happy faces and hear the excitement in our hallways.

Our teachers worked hard at establishing daily routines in their classrooms; which will continue throughout the first weeks of school. Learning is already in motion in our building!

Many thanks to the safety personnel on our campus to greet our students at the start of the year and to the Kindergarten parent volunteers that helped with our recess and lunch transitions this week.

We look forward to seeing our K-4 students together and to meeting our PreK students last names M-Z on Monday.

Absence Request Feature in Infinite Campus

Please note there has been a change in the absence request feature on infinite campus. The "Arrive Late" option is no longer available. If your child is going to be tardy please select full day absence option and in the comment section note that they will be late and give an approximate time of their arrival.

Breakfast Club

To communicate better with families about their child’s breakfast and to make our process more efficient, we have a breakfast club for those that are interested. Students who eat breakfast at school will be a part of our PES Breakfast Club and will have a tag for their book bag that indicates parental permission to be a member. 

• Students with Breakfast Club tags are the only ones who can go to breakfast. 
• Drop-offs - If you want your child to eat breakfast, drop them off by 8:25 a.m. in the drop-off line. Only kids with Breakfast Club tags may exit their cars at that time and enter through the Caterpillar Hallway door.  
• Bus-riders - Students with Breakfast Club tags may get off the bus as soon as their bus parks and enter through the Caterpillar hallway door. 
• You may sign your child up here!

Important Clinic Information

New for the 2026–2027 School Year

Ohio law now requires a physician-signed Statement of Prescriber before school staff may administer any medication, including over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol, Motrin/Advil (ibuprofen), Tums, Benadryl, allergy medications, cough drops, or other non-prescription medications.

This is a change from previous years. In the past, many over-the-counter medications could be administered with parent permission alone. Beginning this school year, a physician-signed Statement of Prescriber is required before any prescription or over-the-counter medication can be given during the school day.

Medication must still be delivered to the school by an adult in its original container with the pharmacy label attached (when applicable).

Statement of Prescriber forms are available:

·      By contacting your child's building nurse, who can email a copy upon request

Please complete the following before the first day of school:

Complete your student's Annual Update in Parent Portal by selecting More → Annual Update. This updates emergency contacts and medical information and provides permission for field trips. If you need assistance accessing Parent Portal, please contact Ann Aucelli at aucellia@perry-lake.org.

Submit updated immunization records. Immunization records are required for all preschool, kindergarten, and new students by the first day of school. Seventh-grade students must have Tdap and Meningococcal vaccinations, and 12th-grade students must have the required Meningococcal vaccination before school begins.

Annual Updates

Annual Updates MUST be completed EACH year for EVERY child. This form is important to update medical information, update emergency contact phone numbers and give permission for your student to go on field trips. To complete the form, log in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account, click on MORE, and then ANNUAL UPDATE.

School Lunch Information

Families eligible for free or reduced-price meals must apply using the application available here. All other students must pay full price for meals. Contact Stephanie Oudomlith at (440) 259-9200, ext. 2607, with any questions.
